Elim Early Learning Centre

Elim Early Learning Centre

Located in the heart of beautiful Cambridge, Elim Early Learning Centre has provided high-quality childcare and education for families for more than 16 years. As a community centre, we create a welcoming, nurturing environment that supports the care and learning needs of all tamariki and whānau.

We offer excellent teacher-to-child ratios, a fully qualified teaching team, and a strong commitment to ensuring every child is recognised and valued as capable and competent. Our purpose-built centre includes spacious rooms for play and learning, along with extensive outdoor gardens where children can run, explore, and enjoy their surroundings.

Our Enviroment

At Elim Early Learning Centre our natural learning environment reflects our commitment to supporting each child’s growth within the framework of high-quality childcare. Our qualified and experienced teachers bring the early childhood curriculum to life through meaningful opportunities that help children develop their understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Our teaching philosophy is based on Christian principles and values, at Elim your child will learn that they are uniquely created. They will experience the joy of friendship and community as they explore the world around them, growing, learning, and thriving alongside one another and our caring team of teachers.

Here is What We Offer!

Birth - 6 Year Olds

Our curriculum takes a holistic approach to learning, offering experiences that support both individual and group development. We value natural, play-based learning, where children build important skills and abilities in ways that are meaningful to them. This strengths-based approach helps lifelong learning.  In this way our curriculum ensures ongoing high-quality childcare and education for children.

Flexible Enrolment Options

We offer enrolment options with a short day (6hours), a standard day (6-9 hours) or a full day (10 hours) to meet the varying needs of families.

The minimum enrollment is either 2 or 3 days, depending on the age of your child.

Hours

We recognise that many of our whanau need to work out of Cambridge and so accommodate travelling needs with longer hours than many other centres.

We are open from 7.15am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday throughout the year and closed for Public Holidays. We accept children from infancy through to school age. Special considerations are given to children under 6 months of age on a case by case basis.
